THANKSGIVING DAY

People from the United States celebrate Thanksgiving day on the 4th Thursday of November. They commemorate when the first Europeans arrived to America and met the Indians who lived there. These shared food and ideas and they learned things from each other.

Today, families and friends meet for dinner on this very special day. They eat turkey, corn, vegetables and many other things.

During the next weeks we are going to study about matter and materials. We are going to learn about the importance of recycling and also about how matter can change. Mixing and separeting materials is very interesting, and we are going to check on this, too.

We studied people share the planet with animals, but we share our world with plants too. They are living things because they are born, grow, reproduce and die. A plant has different parts and we can find three types of plants: trees, bushes and grasses. We use plants in different ways; we eat them, we get oxygen to live, we get fabrics...
Plants are very good friends of us!

Hoy es día 2 de abril y vamos a celebrar el día del autismo. 
A veces nos vamos a encontrar con niños o niñas un poco diferentes a los demás. Son chicos y chicas a los que les cuesta comunicarse, les molestan los ruidos o tienen una conducta diferente porque viven en su propia realidad y les resulta muy difícil abrirse al mundo. Muchos/as saben un montón sobre algunos temas y, si por ellos o ellas fuera, siempre estudiarían o aprenderían sobre ello.
En el colegio tenemos un aula especial para estos chicos y chicas. Se llama el Aula Arco Iris. Allí aprenden a abrirse al mundo, pero nos necesitan a nosotros/as para entender que no están solos/as.
Hagamos lo posible para ser sus amigos o amigas porque también los demás podemos aprender con  ellos y ellas...¡una barbaridad! Quizás así entendamos mejor que en nuestro mundo no sobra nadie porque...¡AQUÍ ENCAJAMOS TODOS!... Exactamente igual que las piezas de un puzzle.
